Article 695-3 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Within the framework of the joint investigation team, French judicial police officers and agents seconded to a joint investigation team may carry out operations prescribed by the team leader, throughout the territory of the State in which they are operating, within the limits of the powers granted to them by this Code.

Their tasks shall be defined by the authority of the Member State competent to lead the joint investigation team in whose territory the team operates.

They may receive reports and establish offences in the manner provided for by this Code, subject to the agreement of the State in whose territory they operate.

Article 695-3

Dans le cadre de l’équipe commune d’enquête, les officiers et agents de police judiciaire français détachés auprès d’une équipe commune d’enquête peuvent procéder aux opérations prescrites par le responsable d’équipe, sur toute l’étendue du territoire de l’Etat où ils interviennent, dans la limite des pouvoirs qui leur sont reconnus par le présent code.

Leurs missions sont définies par l’autorité de l’Etat membre compétente pour diriger l’équipe commune d’enquête sur le territoire duquel l’équipe intervient.

Ils peuvent recevoir les déclarations et constater les infractions dans les formes prévues par le présent code, sous réserve de l’accord de l’Etat sur le territoire duquel ils interviennent.
