For the application of Council Framework Decision 2006/960/JHA of 18 December 2006, the services or units of the national police, the national gendarmerie, the Directorate-General for Customs and Excise and the Directorate-General for Public Finances designated by order of the Minister for Justice and, as appropriate, the Minister for the Interior or the Minister for the Budget may, under the conditions laid down in this section, for the purposes of preventing an offence, gathering evidence or tracking down the perpetrators, exchange with the competent services of another Member State of the European Union information which is at their disposal, either because they hold it or because they can access it, in particular by consulting an automated data processing system, without it being necessary to make or request a requisition or any other coercive measure.
