Article 696-55 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The transmission of the certified copy of the decision to place the person under judicial supervision, of the certificate and of all correspondence and documents relating thereto shall be effected directly between the competent authorities of the issuing State and those of the executing State, by any means which leaves a written record under conditions allowing the addressee to verify its authenticity.

Where a State has designated one or more central authorities to receive such transmissions, copies of the decision to place the person under judicial supervision, the certificate and all correspondence and documents relating thereto shall also be sent, if the State so requests, to the designated central authority or authorities.

La transmission de la copie certifiée conforme de la décision de placement sous contrôle judiciaire, du certificat ainsi que de toutes les correspondances et pièces les concernant s’effectue directement entre les autorités compétentes de l’Etat d’émission et celles de l’Etat d’exécution, par tout moyen laissant une trace écrite et dans des conditions permettant au destinataire d’en vérifier l’authenticité.

Lorsqu’un Etat a désigné une ou plusieurs autorités centrales pour assurer la réception de ces transmissions, des copies de la décision de placement sous contrôle judiciaire, du certificat ainsi que de toutes les correspondances et pièces les concernant sont également adressées, si l’Etat le demande, à l’autorité ou aux autorités centrales désignées.
