Article 696-59 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The authority which ordered the placing under judicial supervision shall remain competent to ensure the follow-up of the measures ordered as long as it has not been informed of the recognition of that decision by the competent authority of the executing State.

It shall also remain competent if it is informed that the person concerned cannot be found on the territory of the executing State.

L’autorité qui a ordonné le placement sous contrôle judiciaire reste compétente pour assurer le suivi des mesures ordonnées tant qu’elle n’a pas été informée de la reconnaissance de cette décision par l’autorité compétente de l’Etat d’exécution.

Elle reste également compétente si elle est informée que la personne concernée ne peut être retrouvée sur le territoire de l’Etat d’exécution.
