Article 696-90 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

A European protection order may be issued by the competent authority of a Member State, called the issuing State, for the purpose of extending to the territory of another Member State, called the executing State, a protection measure adopted in the issuing State, imposing on a suspected, prosecuted or convicted person who may be the cause of danger to the victim of the offence, one or more of the following prohibitions:

1° A prohibition on going to certain places, locations or defined areas in which the victim is or frequents;

2° A prohibition or regulation of contact with the victim;

3° A prohibition on approaching the victim at less than a certain distance, or under certain conditions.

Article 696-90

Une décision de protection européenne peut être émise par l’autorité compétente d’un Etat membre, appelé Etat d’émission, aux fins d’étendre sur le territoire d’un autre Etat membre, appelé Etat d’exécution, une mesure de protection adoptée dans l’Etat d’émission, imposant à une personne suspectée, poursuivie ou condamnée et pouvant être à l’origine d’un danger encouru par la victime de l’infraction, une ou plusieurs des interdictions suivantes :

1° Une interdiction de se rendre dans certains lieux, dans certains endroits ou dans certaines zones définies dans lesquelles la victime se trouve ou qu’elle fréquente ;

2° Une interdiction ou une réglementation des contacts avec la victime ;

3° Une interdiction d’approcher la victime à moins d’une certaine distance, ou dans certaines conditions.
