Article 706-177 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Within each judicial court whose territorial jurisdiction is extended to the jurisdiction of one or more courts of appeal, the public prosecutor and the first president, after consulting the public prosecutor and the president of the judicial court, shall respectively designate one or more public prosecutors, investigating judges and trial judges with special responsibility for the investigation, prosecution, investigation and trial of offences falling within the scope of the same article 706-176.

Within each court of appeal whose territorial jurisdiction is extended to the jurisdiction of one or more courts of appeal, the first president and the public prosecutor shall respectively designate magistrates of the bench and of the public prosecutor’s office with special responsibility for the trial of offences and the handling of cases falling within the scope of the same article 706-176.

Au sein de chaque tribunal judiciaire dont la compétence territoriale est étendue au ressort d’une ou plusieurs cours d’appel, le procureur général et le premier président, après avis du procureur de la République et du président du tribunal judiciaire, désignent respectivement un ou plusieurs magistrats du parquet, juges d’instruction et magistrats du siège chargés spécialement de l’enquête, de la poursuite, de l’instruction et du jugement des infractions entrant dans le champ d’application du même article 706-176.

Au sein de chaque cour d’appel dont la compétence territoriale est étendue au ressort d’une ou plusieurs cours d’appel, le premier président et le procureur général désignent respectivement des magistrats du siège et du parquet général chargés spécialement du jugement des infractions et du traitement des affaires entrant dans le champ d’application du même article 706-176.
