Article 712 of the French Code of civil procedure

The judge has the option of referring the application, as it stands, to a court hearing, the date of which he sets. The parties shall be summoned at least fifteen days in advance by the clerk of the court.

Article 712

Le juge a la faculté de renvoyer la demande, en l’état, à une audience du tribunal dont il fixe la date. Les parties sont convoquées quinze jours au moins à l’avance par le greffier de la juridiction.
