Article 728-19 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The representative of the public prosecutor shall forward to the competent authority of the executing State a certified copy of the sentencing decision and the original or a copy of the certificate referred to in article 728-12 and, where applicable, a copy of the record of the hearing of the convicted person and the record of the hearing of the person responsible for representing or assisting him or her.

He shall also send that authority a translation of the certificate either into the official language or one of the official languages of the executing State or into one of the official languages of the institutions of the European Union accepted by that State. At the request of the competent authority of the executing State, it shall arrange for a translation of the conviction or the essential parts thereof to be drawn up and forwarded under the same conditions.

At the request of the competent authority of the executing State, the certified copy of the convicting decision and the original of the certificate shall be sent to it as soon as possible.

Article 728-19

Le représentant du ministère public transmet à l’autorité compétente de l’Etat d’exécution une copie certifiée conforme de la décision de condamnation ainsi que l’original ou une copie du certificat mentionné à l’article 728-12 et, le cas échéant, une copie du procès-verbal d’audition de la personne condamnée et du procès-verbal d’audition de la personne chargée de la représenter ou de l’assister.

Il transmet, en outre, à cette autorité une traduction du certificat soit dans la langue officielle ou dans une des langues officielles de l’Etat d’exécution, soit dans l’une des langues officielles des institutions de l’Union européenne acceptées par cet Etat. Sur demande de l’autorité compétente de l’Etat d’exécution, il fait établir et transmet la traduction, dans les mêmes conditions, de la décision de condamnation ou des parties essentielles de cette décision.

Sur demande de l’autorité compétente de l’Etat d’exécution, la copie certifiée conforme de la décision de condamnation et l’original du certificat lui sont adressés dans les meilleurs délais.
