Article 765 of the French Code of civil procedure

The appointment of a lawyer by the defendant or by any person who becomes a party in the course of proceedings shall be notified to the other parties by notification between lawyers.

This document indicates:

a) If the defendant is a natural person, his surname, forenames, profession, domicile, nationality, date and place of birth;

b) If the defendant is a legal person, its form, name, registered office and the body that legally represents it.

Article 765

La constitution de l’avocat par le défendeur ou par toute personne qui devient partie en cours d’instance est dénoncée aux autres parties par notification entre avocats.

Cet acte indique :

a) Si le défendeur est une personne physique, ses nom, prénoms, profession, domicile, nationalité, date et lieu de naissance ;

b) Si le défendeur est une personne morale, sa forme, sa dénomination, son siège social et l’organe qui le représente légalement.
