Article 794 of the French Code of civil procedure

The orders of the pre-trial judge do not have the authority of res judicata in the main proceedings, with the exception of those ruling on procedural objections, on pleas in bar, on incidents putting an end to the proceedings and on the substantive issue decided pursuant to the provisions of 6° of Article 789.

Les ordonnances du juge de la mise en état n’ont pas, au principal, l’autorité de la chose jugée à l’exception de celles statuant sur les exceptions de procédure, sur les fins de non-recevoir, sur les incidents mettant fin à l’instance et sur la question de fond tranchée en application des dispositions du 6° de l’article 789.
