During the course of the investigation into the causes of death or the causes of a disappearance mentioned in the articles 74 and 74-1, the investigating judge shall proceed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter I of Title III of Book I. Interceptions of telecommunications correspondence are carried out under his authority and control in accordance with the conditions set out in the second paragraph of article 100 and in the articles 100-1 to 100-7. Interceptions may not exceed a renewable period of two months.
The family members or close friends of the deceased or missing person may bring an incidental civil action. However, in the event that the missing person is found, the latter’s address and the documents that directly or indirectly provide knowledge of this address may only be communicated to the civil party with the consent of the person concerned in the case of an adult, and with the consent of the investigating judge in the case of a minor or a protected adult.
