Article 812-7 of the French Civil Code

Each year and at the end of the mandate, the mandatary shall render an account of his management to the interested heirs or their representatives and inform them of all acts performed. Failing this, judicial revocation may be requested by any interested party.

If the mandate is terminated as a result of the death of the mandatary, this obligation falls to his heirs.

Chaque année et en fin de mandat, le mandataire rend compte de sa gestion aux héritiers intéressés ou à leurs représentants et les informe de l’ensemble des actes accomplis. A défaut, une révocation judiciaire peut être demandée par tout intéressé.

Si le mandat prend fin par suite du décès du mandataire, cette obligation incombe à ses héritiers.
