Article 82 of the French Code of civil procedure

In the event of referral to a designated court, the case file shall be sent to it by the registry, together with a copy of the referral decision, in the absence of an appeal within the time limit.

On receipt of the case file, the parties shall be invited by any means by the registry of the designated court to continue the proceedings and, where appropriate, to constitute a lawyer within one month of this notice.

When the parties are required to be represented before the designated court, the case is automatically struck out if none of them has constituted a lawyer within one month of the invitation made to them pursuant to the previous paragraph.

Article 82

En cas de renvoi devant une juridiction désignée, le dossier de l’affaire lui est transmis par le greffe, avec une copie de la décision de renvoi, à défaut d’appel dans le délai.

Dès réception du dossier, les parties sont invitées par tout moyen par le greffe de la juridiction désignée à poursuivre l’instance et, s’il y a lieu, à constituer avocat dans le délai d’un mois à compter de cet avis.

Lorsque devant la juridiction désignée les parties sont tenues de se faire représenter, l’affaire est d’office radiée si aucune d’elles n’a constitué avocat dans le mois de l’invitation qui leur a été faite en application de l’alinéa précédent.
