Article 868 of the French General Tax Code

In addition to their obligations under Article 867, bailiffs and court clerks shall keep, in a register, listed and initialled under the conditions provided for in the second paragraph of III of Article 867, columnar directories in which they shall enter, day by day, without blanks or spaces and in numbered order, all deeds, judgments and rulings that are exempt from the formality of registration.

Each article in the register contains:

1° Its number;

2° The date of the act;

3° Its nature;

4° The surnames and forenames of the parties and their domicile.

Each deed entered in this register must be annotated with its serial number.

Court clerks are required to enter in this register the bulletins No. 3 of the criminal record issued by them.

Article 868

Indépendamment des obligations qui leur incombent en vertu de l’article 867, les huissiers et les greffiers tiennent, sur un registre, coté et paraphé dans les conditions prévues au second alinéa du III de l’article 867, des répertoires à colonnes sur lesquels ils inscrivent, jour par jour, sans blanc ni interligne et par ordre de numéros, tous les actes, jugements et arrêts qui sont dispensés de la formalité de l’enregistrement.

Chaque article du répertoire contient :

1° Son numéro ;

2° La date de l’acte ;

3° Sa nature ;

4° Les noms et prénoms des parties et leur domicile.

Chaque acte porté sur ce répertoire doit être annoté de son numéro d’ordre.

Les greffiers sont tenus d’inscrire à ce répertoire les bulletins n° 3 du casier judiciaire par eux délivrés.
