Article 916-14 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The amount of selective aid granted in application of articles 223-1 and 223-9 for the distribution of previously unreleased works other than those mentioned in articles 222-7 and 222-8 and repertory works, released in cinemas between 2 September 2020 and 3 March 2021, may be increased.
The amount of the increase is set, after consultation with the Commission des aides à la distribution cinématographique, taking into account the appropriations allocated to the aids concerned and the number of works eligible for the increase.
The increase applies to aids granted between 1 March 2020 and 15 March 2021.
The theatrical release period mentioned in the first paragraph is extended until 19 November 2023.

Le montant des aides sélectives attribuées en application des articles 223-1 et 223-9 pour la distribution d’œuvres inédites autres que celles mentionnées aux articles 222-7 et 222-8 et d’œuvres de répertoire, dont la sortie en salles de spectacles cinématographiques a lieu entre le 2 septembre 2020 et le 3 mars 2021, peut faire l’objet d’une majoration.
Le montant de la majoration est fixé, après consultation de la commission des aides à la distribution cinématographique, compte tenu des crédits affectés aux aides concernées et du nombre d’œuvres éligibles à la majoration.
La majoration s’applique aux aides attribuées entre le 1er mars 2020 et le 15 mars 2021.
La période de sortie en salles de spectacles cinématographiques mentionnée au premier alinéa est prolongée jusqu’au 19 novembre 2023.
