Article 930-3 of the French Civil Code

The renouncer may only request the revocation of his renunciation if:

1° The person he is entitled to inherit from does not fulfil his maintenance obligations towards him;

2° On the day the succession is opened, he is in a state of need that would disappear if he had not renounced his reservatory rights;

3° The beneficiary of the renunciation has been guilty of a crime or an offence against his person.

Le renonçant ne peut demander la révocation de sa renonciation que si :

1° Celui dont il a vocation à hériter ne remplit pas ses obligations alimentaires envers lui ;

2° Au jour de l’ouverture de la succession, il est dans un état de besoin qui disparaîtrait s’il n’avait pas renoncé à ses droits réservataires ;

3° Le bénéficiaire de la renonciation s’est rendu coupable d’un crime ou d’un délit contre sa personne.
