Article 982 of the French Civil Code

The wills mentioned in the preceding article may still, if the testator is ill or wounded, be received, in military hospitals or medical units, as defined by army regulations, by the chief medical officer, whatever his rank, assisted by the managing administrative officer.

Failing this administrative officer, the presence of two witnesses will be required.

Les testaments mentionnés à l’article précédent pourront encore, si le testateur est malade ou blessé, être reçus, dans les hôpitaux ou les formations sanitaires militaires, telles que les définissent les règlements de l’armée, par le médecin-chef, quel que soit son grade, assisté de l’officier d’administration gestionnaire.

A défaut de cet officier d’administration, la présence de deux témoins sera nécessaire.
