Article A444-63 of the French Commercial code

The declaration of inheritance (number 8 of table 5) gives rise to the collection of a fee proportional to the total gross assets, including, if there is a community, participation or partnership of acquests, the assets dependent thereon, according to the following scale:

From €6,500 to €17,000 0.851%
From €17,000 to €30,000 0.580%
Over €30,000 0.426%

When the notary draws up a declaration of inheritance that includes furniture that has been the subject of an auction giving rise to the collection of a fee provided for in Section 1 of this chapter, no fee may be collected by the notary on the part of the gross assets corresponding to the auctioned value of this furniture.

La déclaration de succession (numéro 8 du tableau 5) donne lieu à la perception d’un émolument proportionnel à l’actif brut total, en ce compris s’il y a communauté, participation ou société d’acquêts, les biens qui en dépendent, selon le barème suivant :

Lorsque le notaire établit une déclaration de succession comprenant des meubles ayant fait l’objet d’une prisée donnant lieu à la perception d’un émolument prévu par la section 1 du présent chapitre, aucun émolument ne peut être perçu par le notaire sur la partie de l’actif brut correspondant à la valeur prisée de ces meubles.
