1. Be capable of encouraging the adoption of health-promoting behaviours. |
2. Carry out an initial assessment of the person’s situation, including functional assessments specific to the physical activity envisaged, as well as the identification of obstacles, individual resources and the person’s ability to engage in independent exercise, using simple, validated interviews and specific questionnaires. |
3. Designing a physical activity session to encourage the patient’s participation and support. |
4. Implementing a programme: leading physical activity and sports sessions; assessing the patient’s exercise and progress; supporting the patient’s motivation; detecting signs of intolerance during sessions and passing on the relevant information to the prescriber within a timeframe appropriate to the situation. |
5. Evaluate the expected benefits of the programme in the medium term: draw up a simple, relevant report for both prescribers and patients, and establish a dialogue between those involved at intervals appropriate to the person concerned. |
6. Reacting to an accident during practice by mobilising the knowledge and skills required to perform first aid procedures in accordance with recommendations, in order to preserve the physical integrity of a victim while awaiting the arrival of organised assistance (PSC-1 certificate) |
7. Know the very general characteristics of the main chronic pathologies. |
