I.-The person responsible for the swimming pool organises and implements the monitoring of the establishment’s installations, water treatment system and air ventilation system. To this end, they draw up a protocol for monitoring parameters and keep an up-to-date health logbook, the content of which is defined by order of the Minister for Health. The health logbooks for the current year and, at the very least, for the two previous years are made available to the health inspectors mentioned in article L. 1332-8, on the premises of the establishment.
II.-The health inspection is carried out by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency and includes any operation to check compliance with the legislative and regulatory provisions relating to the health safety of swimming pools, in particular:
1° Inspection of the facilities;
2° Checking the health safety measures implemented;
3° Carrying out a programme of water sampling and analysis of the quality of the water in the swimming pool in accordance with the conditions laid down in article L. 1321-5.
III.-Water samples taken for the analyses mentioned in 3° of II are taken by agents of the Regional Health Agency or an approved laboratory and analysed by an approved laboratory under the conditions mentioned in article R. 1321-21. The costs of sampling and analysis are borne by the person responsible for the swimming pool. The analysis by the approved laboratory is carried out in accordance with the reference methods laid down by order of the Minister for Health.
IV.-The procedures for taking water samples and carrying out analyses for health monitoring and surveillance purposes, depending on the type of swimming pool, taking into account the theoretical maximum number of people using them and the nature of the establishment in which they are located, are laid down by order of the Minister for Health.
V.- The quality limits applicable to water supplies to swimming pools are laid down by order of the Minister for Health.The quality limits applicable to the food mentioned in the second paragraph of II and III of article D. 1332-4 are set by an order of the Minister for Health. Daily monitoring and inspection of the installations are carried out under the conditions mentioned in I and II of this article. In the event of non-compliance with the quality limits, water is supplied to the pools from a public distribution network.
VI.-The latest analysis results and the health conclusions of the regional health agency are displayed by the person responsible for the pool in a way that is visible to users. In the absence of analyses carried out as part of health monitoring, the latest results of analyses carried out by a laboratory as part of surveillance are displayed under the same conditions.
VII -The person responsible for the swimming pool informs the Director General of the Regional Health Agency annually of the opening dates of the swimming pool and of any changes that may affect the implementation of health monitoring and surveillance.
VIII-The provisions of V of this article do not apply to the facilities mentioned in IV of article D. 1332-4.
