The National Steering Board for the Regional Health Agencies shall define the procedures for its operation and draw up its work programme.
The National Steering Board for the Regional Health Agencies may meet by any appropriate means enabling its members to be identified and to participate effectively in a collegiate discussion.
The work of the National Steering Board is prepared by a standing committee, chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministries responsible for Social Affairs or his representative, comprising all the members of the National Steering Board of the Regional Health Agencies or their representatives. The Ministry of Defence takes part in this work when it deals with the participation of the armed forces health service in the implementation of national health policy and taking into account the specific needs of defence. Where necessary, one or more directors general of regional health agencies may take part.
On behalf of the National Steering Committee for Regional Health Agencies, the Secretary General of the Ministries responsible for Social Affairs periodically convenes a meeting of all the Directors General of the Regional Health Agencies. He will involve the members of the National Steering Committee for the Regional Health Agencies or their representatives in these meetings.
