The coordination committee is responsible for :
– coordinating, within its field of competence and according to the sexual health approach referred to in article L. 3121-2 of this Code, the players working in the fields of care, clinical and therapeutic expertise, screening, prevention and health education, clinical and epidemiological research, training, social and medico-social action, as well as associations of patients or users of the healthcare system ;
– helping to improve the quality and safety of patient care in the fields of treatment, prevention and screening, as well as evaluating this care and harmonising practices, in particular to take into account the specific needs of people living with the human immunodeficiency virus or exposed to a risk of infection by this virus;
– to collect and analyse all the epidemiological data referred to in article D. 3121-36, as well as all regional data useful for evaluating national policy in the fight against sexually-transmitted infections and the human immunodeficiency virus;
– contribute its expertise to the development, implementation and evaluation of national and regional policies to combat sexually-transmitted infections and the human immunodeficiency virus and in the field of sexual health, as well as, at the request of the Director General of the Regional Health Agency, to the regional health project provided for in Article L. 1434-1 of this Code;
– to draw up and implement an annual activity report.
