Article D3142-11 of the French Labour Code

In the absence of an agreement or arrangement mentioned in article L. 3142-26, the employee shall inform the employer by any means giving a date certain, at least one month before the start of the leave for close carers of his wish to suspend his employment contract for this reason, and, where applicable, of his request for the leave to be split up or converted to part-time and the date of his departure on leave.

The request must be accompanied by the documents mentioned in article D. 3142-8.

A défaut de convention ou d’accord mentionné à l’article L. 3142-26, le salarié informe l’employeur par tout moyen conférant date certaine, au moins un mois avant le début du congé de proche aidant de sa volonté de suspendre son contrat de travail à ce titre, et, le cas échéant, de sa demande de fractionnement ou de transformation à temps partiel de celui-ci et de la date de son départ en congé.


Il joint à sa demande les documents mentionnés à l’article D. 3142-8.
