Article D3142-12 of the French Labour Code

In the absence of an agreement or convention mentioned in article L. 3142-26, in the event of successive renewals of the leave of absence for a close carer or part-time work, the employee shall notify the employer of this extension at least fifteen days before the end initially planned, by any means giving a date certain.
In the event of non-successive renewals, the conditions of notice defined in article D. 3142-11 apply.

Article D3142-12

A défaut de convention ou d’accord mentionné à l’article L. 3142-26, en cas de renouvellement du congé de proche aidant ou de l’activité à temps partiel de façon successive, le salarié avertit l’employeur de cette prolongation au moins quinze jours avant le terme initialement prévu, par tout moyen conférant date certaine.
En cas de renouvellement non successif, les conditions de prévenance définies à l’article D. 3142-11 s’appliquent.
