Article D32-24 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

In accordance with the provisions of Article 181, in the event that the person under investigation is indicted before the Assize Court, house arrest with electronic surveillance shall continue to have effect.

The total duration of the house arrest, taking into account that executed during the investigation, may not then exceed a period of two years in accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of article 142-7.

The investigating judge may also, in his committal order, order the measure to be lifted.

Conformément aux dispositions de l’article 181, en cas de mise en accusation devant la cour d’assises de la personne mise en examen, l’assignation à résidence avec surveillance électronique continue de produire ses effets.

La durée totale de l’assignation à résidence, compte tenu de celle exécutée au cours de l’instruction, ne peut alors excéder une durée de deux ans conformément aux dispositions du deuxième alinéa de l’article 142-7.

Le juge d’instruction peut également, dans son ordonnance de mise en accusation, ordonner la mainlevée de la mesure.
