Article D331-5 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Compliance with the creative conditions for cinematographic or audiovisual works belonging to the genres of fiction, documentary and animation provided for in articles D. 331-1 to D. 331-4 is verified by means of a points scale set by decision taken in application of 3° of article R. 112-4.

Compliance with the conditions of creation for works belonging to the genre of audiovisual adaptation of shows is verified using the points scale provided for in article D. 331-5-1.

To be considered as having been produced mainly on French territory, cinematographic or audiovisual works must obtain at least the majority of points on the scale concerned.

Article D331-5

Le respect des conditions de création des œuvres cinématographiques ou audiovisuelles appartenant aux genres de la fiction, du documentaire et de l’animation prévues aux articles D. 331-1 à D. 331-4 est vérifié au moyen d’un barème de points fixé par délibération prise en application du 3° de l’article R. 112-4.

Le respect des conditions de création des œuvres appartenant au genre de l’adaptation audiovisuelle de spectacles est vérifié au moyen du barème de points prévu à l’article D. 331-5-1.

Pour être considérées comme réalisées principalement sur le territoire français, les œuvres cinématographiques ou audiovisuelles doivent obtenir au moins la majorité des points sur le barème concerné.
