In order to be recognised as a National Professional Council within the meaning of Article L. 4021-3, bodies set up on the initiative of healthcare professionals, by profession or speciality, must meet the conditions laid down by the provisions of this section.
Each profession or speciality may be represented by only one National Professional Council.
The term speciality is understood to refer to health professionals who have validated diplomas and titles entitling them to the speciality or, failing this, entitling them to the qualification or, failing this, corresponding to registration on the roll of the Order when the profession has an Order.
The list of national professional councils and, where applicable, federative structures is drawn up by order of the Minister for Health.
Each national professional council or federative structure concludes an agreement with the State. In the absence of such an agreement, the National Professional Council or the federative structure may no longer appear on the list referred to in the previous paragraph.
