The votes are counted at the Council’s head office, on the day of the election provided for in article D. 4233-7.
It is carried out by a polling station set up for the election of each Council. The polling station is chaired by a member of the Council appointed by its Chairman, on the recommendation of the Council’s Executive Committee.
The chairman of the polling station appoints the members of the polling station at the opening of the counting session.
Voters have free access to the counting room during the count. The chairman is responsible for policing the room.
