Candidates for the “brevet professionnel de préparateur en pharmacie” must, on the date on which they sit the examination as a whole or the last unit entitling them to the award of the diploma, provide proof of :
– two years of professional activity in a dispensing pharmacy, a mutualist pharmacy, a pharmacy of a mining rescue society or an internal-use pharmacy of a health establishment ;
– and eight hundred hours of training acquired through apprenticeship or continuing education.
The required period of professional activity may have been full-time or part-time, up to a maximum of half-time.
The training and professional activity may be acquired simultaneously or successively, but may not be spread over a period of more than four years immediately preceding the date of the examination.
