Article D431-7 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

For the application of Article L. 431-2, applications for residence permits are submitted by the asylum seeker within two months. However, where an application is made for the residence permit referred to in article L. 425-9, this time limit is extended to three months.

Pour l’application de l’article L. 431-2, les demandes de titres de séjour sont déposées par le demandeur d’asile dans un délai de deux mois. Toutefois, lorsqu’est sollicitée la délivrance du titre de séjour mentionné à l’article L. 425-9, ce délai est porté à trois mois.
