I.-The person making the request for exoneration or the claim is exempt from the deposit if they send a copy of the receipt for the complaint lodged for the offence of identity theft provided for by article 434-23 of the Penal Code.
II.-Where the fixed fine procedure relates to the offence of driving without a licence, a deposit is also waived if a photocopy of the driver’s licence valid at the time the offence was recorded is sent.
III.-When the fixed fine procedure concerns the offence of driving without insurance, a deposit is also waived if the offender sends:
1° a photocopy of an insurance certificate that was valid at the time the offence was recorded;
2° or, if the provisions of the last paragraph of article D. 45-4 of this Code has been applied:
a) either a copy of the receipt of the complaint lodged for theft or destruction of the vehicle or for the offence of misregistration as provided for in article L. 317-4-1 of the Highway Code , or a copy of the vehicle destruction certificate drawn up in accordance with the provisions of article R. 322-9 of the Highway Code;
b) or copies of the declaration of vehicle transfer and its registration receipt in the vehicle registration system.
