Article D47-1-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The magistrate who has issued a European Investigation Order or who is responsible for the enforcement of such an order shall consult directly and by any appropriate means, including via the telecommunications system of the European Judicial Network, the foreign executing or issuing authority to facilitate the recognition and enforcement of the order, in particular to settle any difficulty relating to the transmission or authenticity of a document necessary for the enforcement of that order.

Le magistrat ayant émis une décision d’enquête européenne ou chargé de l’exécution d’une telle décision consulte directement et par tout moyen approprié, y compris par le biais du système de télécommunications du Réseau judiciaire européen, l’autorité étrangère d’exécution ou d’émission pour faciliter la reconnaissance et l’exécution de la décision, notamment pour régler toute difficulté relative à la transmission ou à l’authenticité d’un document nécessaire à l’exécution de cette décision.
