Article D47-1-27 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Where it is established that parallel proceedings exist, the competent authorities of the Member States concerned shall enter into direct consultations with a view to reaching a consensus on any effective solution which avoids the negative consequences arising from the existence of such proceedings and which may, where appropriate, lead to criminal proceedings being continued in only one State.

Lorsqu’il est établi qu’une procédure parallèle existe, les autorités compétentes des Etats membres concernés engagent des consultations directes en vue de dégager un consensus sur toute solution efficace permettant d’éviter les conséquences négatives découlant de l’existence de ces procédures et pouvant, le cas échéant, conduire à la poursuite de la procédure pénale dans un seul Etat.
