Article D47-12-10 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Persons with the status of judicial police officer specially appointed to assist, pursuant to Article 706-106-5, public prosecutors and specialised investigating judges from the Nanterre judicial court may take part in proceedings in accordance with the procedures set out in paragraphs 3 to 11 of Article 706. They advise these magistrates in their decisions regarding the choice of investigating departments and the direction of investigations, and they ensure the quality of information exchanges between these magistrates and the investigators referred to them.

Les personnes ayant la qualité d’officier de police judiciaire spécialement désignées pour assister, en application de l’article 706-106-5, les magistrats du parquet et les juges d’instruction spécialisés du tribunal judiciaire de Nanterre peuvent participer aux procédures selon les modalités prévues par les alinéas 3 à 11 de l’article 706. Ils conseillent ces magistrats dans leurs décisions relatives au choix des services enquêteurs et à l’orientation des investigations et ils veillent à la qualité des échanges d’information entre ces magistrats et les enquêteurs saisis.
