Article D5232-13 of the French Public Health Code

In order to carry out their activities, service providers and equipment distributors have premises reserved for this purpose, including at least one area meeting accessibility requirements for disabled people in accordance with the provisions of article L. 164-1 of the French Construction and Housing Code and the regulations governing 5th category establishments open to the public. This area is reserved for the personalised reception of the patient, including any tests that may be required, and must be soundproofed and visually insulated to ensure the confidentiality of the service provided.

For the supply of equipment to compensate for impaired mobility, this room must include at least sufficient space for walking or moving around to test the equipment.

Le prestataire de services et le distributeur de matériels disposent pour exercer leur activité d’un local réservé à cet effet et comprenant au minimum un espace satisfaisant aux exigences d’accessibilité pour les personnes handicapées conformes aux dispositions de l’article L. 164-1 du code de la construction et de l’habitation et des dispositions réglementaires régissant les établissements recevant du public de 5e catégorie. Cet espace réservé à l’accueil personnalisé de la personne, notamment aux essais s’il y a lieu, répond à des conditions d’isolation phonique et visuelle permettant d’assurer au patient la confidentialité de la prestation.

Pour la délivrance de matériels de compensation des insuffisances de déplacement, ce local comprend au minimum un espace suffisant de déambulation ou de déplacement pour l’essai des matériels.
