The electronic seal may be used, under the condition laid down by Article D. 589-2, in place of the electronic signature provided for in article D. 589-3, including where it is affixed after a handwritten signature collected in digital format pursuant to Article D. 589-4.
This electronic seal must be of an advanced level with a qualified certificate within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014. However, the mere fact that this seal does not meet the requirements of an advanced level electronic seal with a qualified certificate cannot constitute grounds for invalidity of the procedure.
