Article D6132-13-5 of the French Public Health Code

I.-The grouping’s unified medical commission elects its chairman and vice-chairman from among the permanent practitioners who are members. However, when full practitioners do not make up the majority of medical, odontological and pharmaceutical staff in all the member institutions, the internal regulations may stipulate that the chairman and vice-chairman are elected from among all the practitioners who are members of the commission.

Voting takes place by secret uninominal ballot and by an absolute majority. If this majority is not achieved in the first two rounds, a third round is organised. A relative majority is sufficient for the third round. In the event of a tie between the candidates with the highest number of votes, the oldest of them shall be declared elected.

The term of office of the Chairman of the Unified Group Medical Commission is four years. They are renewable once.

I.-La commission médicale unifiée de groupement élit son président et son vice-président parmi les praticiens titulaires qui en sont membres. Toutefois, lorsque les praticiens titulaires ne forment pas, à l’échelle de l’ensemble des établissements parties, la majorité des personnels médicaux, odontologiques et pharmaceutiques, le règlement intérieur peut prévoir que le président et le vice-président sont élus parmi l’ensemble des praticiens membres de la commission.

Le vote a lieu au scrutin uninominal secret et à la majorité absolue. Si cette majorité n’est pas atteinte aux deux premiers tours, un troisième tour est organisé. La majorité relative suffit au troisième tour. En cas d’égalité entre les candidats ayant obtenu le plus grand nombre de voix, le plus âgé d’entre eux est déclaré élu.

Les fonctions de président de la commission médicale unifiée de groupement sont de quatre ans. Elles sont renouvelables une fois.
