Article D6221-7 of the French Public Health Code

The declaration provided for in 1° and 2° of Article L. 6221-4shall be sent by the medical biology laboratory established in another Member State of the European Union or party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area to the Minister responsible for health, by electronic means or by post with acknowledgement of receipt.

It must be accompanied by a copy of the documents representing accreditation, authorisation or approval issued by the competent authorities of the State in which the laboratory is established.

If the declaration and attachments are not in French, they must be accompanied by a certified translation.

A receipt is issued to the laboratory by the Minister for Health on receipt of the declaration.

La déclaration prévue au 1° et au 2° de l’article L. 6221-4 est adressée par le laboratoire de biologie médicale établi dans un autre Etat membre de l’Union européenne ou partie à l’accord sur l’Espace économique européen au ministre chargé de la santé, par voie électronique ou postale avec demande d’avis de réception.

Elle est accompagnée de la copie des documents valant accréditation, autorisation ou agrément délivrés par les autorités compétentes de l’Etat où le laboratoire est établi.

Si la déclaration et les pièces jointes ne sont pas rédigées en français, elles sont accompagnées d’une traduction certifiée.

Un récépissé est délivré au laboratoire par le ministre chargé de la santé à réception de la déclaration.
