The results of the ballot are recorded in two minutes drawn up on forms provided by the local authority. They are signed by the members of the bureau. The delegates of the authorised elected representatives, political parties or groupings are invited to countersign the copies of the minutes.
As soon as the minutes have been drawn up, the result is announced in public by the chairman of the polling station and posted in writing by him in the voting room.
When the electoral colleges are divided into several polling stations, the counting of the votes is first carried out by station. The chairman and members of each polling station then hand over the two copies of the minutes and the annexes to the first polling station, which is set up as a centralising polling station and is responsible for carrying out the general vote count in the presence of the chairmen of the other polling stations.
The results decided by each polling station and the annexes may not be altered under any circumstances.
A summary report is drawn up in duplicate in the presence of the voters. They shall be signed by the members of the first polling station, the delegates of the elected groups, political parties or groupings authorised to report to the first polling station and the chairmen of the other polling stations.
