Article D6332-9 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The result shall be publicly announced by the president of the first polling station and immediately posted by the president of the territorial council.
A copy of the minutes, to which the minutes of the voting operations in the polling stations are attached with their annexes, shall be sent to the representative of the State in the collectivity.

Le résultat est proclamé publiquement par le président du premier bureau et affiché aussitôt par les soins du président du conseil territorial.
Un exemplaire du procès-verbal, auquel sont joints avec leurs annexes les procès-verbaux des opérations de vote dans les bureaux de vote, est adressé au représentant de l’Etat dans la collectivité.
