Article D7121-37 of the French Labour Code

The amount of the daily leave allowance is equal to the average daily remuneration received by the person concerned in the undertakings in which he/she was employed during the period taken into consideration for the determination of the leave entitlement.
The amount of the daily allowance may not exceed the maximum figure set in the collective labour agreements or by arbitration award made under the conditions provided for in Articles L. 2524-1 et seq.
If there is no collective agreement, the amount of the daily allowance is limited to three times the amount of the minimum wage for the professional category, unless an arbitration award has set a higher limit.

Le montant de l’indemnité journalière de congé est égal à la rémunération journalière moyenne que l’intéressé a reçue dans les entreprises où il a été employé pendant la période prise en considération pour la détermination du droit au congé.
Le montant de l’indemnité journalière ne peut excéder le chiffre maximum fixé dans les conventions collectives de travail ou par sentence arbitrale, rendue dans les conditions prévues aux articles L. 2524-1 et suivants.
En cas d’absence de convention collective, le montant de l’indemnité journalière est limité au triple du montant du salaire minimum de la catégorie professionnelle, à moins qu’une sentence arbitrale n’ait fixé une limite plus élevée.
