The international police cooperation bodies placed within the National Directorate of Judicial Police are as follows:
1° The National Central Bureau-France of the international criminal police organisation Interpol;
2° The N-SIS II Office and the Sirene Office, which make up the national part of the Schengen Information System;
3° The national unit of the European Police Office, known as Europol.
The National Directorate of Judicial Police is the national authority designated by Article 40(5) of the Convention implementing the Schengen Agreement of 14 June 1985.
It is also the national authority responsible for verifying requests for access to the EURODAC database for law enforcement purposes under Regulation (EU) No 603/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 June 2013 concerning the establishment of Eurodac for the comparison of fingerprints for the effective application of Regulation (EU) No 604/2013.
