Article L1112-21 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The provisions of the first eleven paragraphs of Article LO 1112-6 are applicable to the consultation of voters.

During the period of one year from the holding of a local referendum or a consultation of electors at the initiative of a territorial authority, the latter may not organise another consultation on the same subject.

Les dispositions des onze premiers alinéas de l’article LO 1112-6 sont applicables à la consultation des électeurs.

Pendant le délai d’un an à compter de la tenue d’un référendum local ou d’une consultation des électeurs à l’initiative d’une collectivité territoriale, celle-ci ne peut organiser une autre consultation portant sur le même objet.
