A Union nationale des associations agréées d’usagers du système de santé (National Union of Approved Associations of Users of the Healthcare System) may be set up, made up of associations of users of the healthcare system approved at national level which join the union.
This union is constituted under the terms of the law of 1st July 1901 relating to the contract of association. Its articles of association and regulations are subject to approval by the Minister for Health.
This union is deemed to have the approval issued at national level in application of I of article L. 1114-1.
The Union nationale des associations agréées d’usagers du système de santé is authorised to:
1° Give its opinions to the public authorities on questions relating to the operation of the healthcare system and propose to them measures which appear to be in line with the material and moral interests of its members;
2° Lead a network of approved user associations at national and regional level;
3° To take legal action to defend its own moral and material interests and those of users of the healthcare system;
4° Representing users in dealings with the public authorities, particularly with a view to appointing delegates to councils, assemblies and bodies set up by the public authorities;
5° Providing training for representatives of users of the healthcare system, in particular the basic training mentioned in II of article L. 1114-1.
Each association of users of the healthcare system, within the limits of its articles of association, retains the right to represent the interests for which it is responsible to the public authorities.
