Article L1115-6 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

A National Commission for Decentralised Cooperation is created, which will draw up and keep up to date a report on the external action of local and regional authorities. It promotes coordination between the State and local and regional authorities and between local and regional authorities and may formulate any proposal relating to the external action of local and regional authorities. Local and regional authorities and their groupings provide the commission with the information it needs to carry out its tasks.

Il est créé une Commission nationale de la coopération décentralisée qui établit et tient à jour un état de l’action extérieure des collectivités territoriales. Elle favorise la coordination entre l’Etat et les collectivités territoriales et entre les collectivités territoriales et peut formuler toute proposition relative à l’action extérieure des collectivités territoriales. Les collectivités territoriales et leurs groupements transmettent à la commission les informations nécessaires à l’accomplissement de ses missions.
