Article L1126-10 of the French Public Health Code

For each study of performance, with the exception of that which does not involve any risk or constraint and in which all the procedures are carried out and the products are used in the usual way, the dossier submitted to the Committee for the Protection of Individuals and to the competent authority shall determine whether it is necessary for the person not to be able to participate simultaneously in any other research referred to in this Title and shall, where appropriate, set a period of exclusion during which the person who is the subject of the research may not participate in any other research. The length of this period varies according to the nature of the research referred to in this Title.

Pour chaque étude des performances à l’exception de celle qui ne comporte aucun risque ni contrainte et dans laquelle tous les actes sont réalisés et les produits utilisés de manière habituelle, le dossier soumis au comité de protection des personnes et à l’autorité compétente détermine s’il est nécessaire que la personne ne puisse pas participer simultanément à une autre recherche visée au présent titre et fixe, le cas échéant, une période d’exclusion au cours de laquelle la personne qui s’y prête ne peut participer à une autre recherche. La durée de cette période varie en fonction de la nature de la recherche visée au présent titre.
