Article L1225-59 of the French Labour Code

Employees returning to their original job are entitled to vocational training, particularly in the event of a change in techniques or working methods.

The employee may also benefit from this right before the expiry of the period during which he/she intended to benefit from parental education leave or a period of part-time work. In this case, the parental leave or part-time work to raise a child is terminated.

Le salarié reprenant son activité initiale bénéficie d’un droit à une action de formation professionnelle, notamment en cas de changement de techniques ou de méthodes de travail.

Le salarié peut également bénéficier de ce droit avant l’expiration de la période pendant laquelle il entendait bénéficier d’un congé parental d’éducation ou d’une période d’activité à temps partiel. Dans ce cas, il est mis fin au congé parental d’éducation ou à l’exercice d’une activité à temps partiel pour élever un enfant.
