Article L1235-4 of the French Public Health Code

For the purposes of this Title, samples taken in the context of research involving the human person within the meaning of Article L. 1121-1 are considered to be samples taken for therapeutic purposes, without prejudice to the provisions of Title II of Book I of this Part relating to the protection of persons who take part in research involving the human person.

Pour l’application du présent titre, les prélèvements opérés dans le cadre des recherches impliquant la personne humaine au sens de l’article L. 1121-1 sont regardés comme des prélèvements à des fins thérapeutiques, sans préjudice des dispositions du titre II du livre Ier de la présente partie relatives à la protection des personnes qui se prêtent à des recherches impliquant la personne humaine.
