Article L132-45 of the French Intellectual Property Code

Article L. 132-41 applies as from the entry into force of an industry agreement determining the minimum wage for professional journalists who derive most of their income from the use of still images and who occasionally contribute to the production of a press title. This agreement will take into account the exclusive or non-exclusive nature of the assignment.

Failing an agreement within two years of the publication of the law no. 2009-669 of 12 June 2009 promoting the distribution and protection of creation on the internet, a decree will set the conditions for determining this minimum wage.
