Article L1411-5-1 of the French Public Health Code

The State coordinates the exercise of the missions of the authorities, establishments and bodies mentioned in articles L. 1222-1 , L. 1313-1 , L. 1413-1 , L. 1415-2 , L. 1418-1 and L. 5311-1 of this code, in article L. 161-37 of the Social Security Code and Article L. 592-1 of the Environment Code , as well as Article L. 592-45 of the same code.

This coordination concerns, in compliance with the powers delegated to the institutions mentioned in the first paragraph, the fields in which it is necessary to ensure the smooth running of their interactions or the harmonisation of their practices, in the interests of public health and health safety.

It is exercised within the framework of a body reporting to the Minister for Health.

A decree in the Conseil d’Etat specifies and completes the composition of this body and defines its operating procedures.

Article L1411-5-1

L’Etat assure la coordination de l’exercice des missions des autorités, établissements et organismes mentionnés aux articles L. 1222-1 , L. 1313-1 , L. 1413-1 , L. 1415-2 , L. 1418-1 et L. 5311-1 du présent code, à l’ article L. 161-37 du code de la sécurité sociale et à l’ article L. 592-1 du code de l’environnement ainsi qu’à l’article L. 592-45 du même code.

Cette coordination porte, dans le respect des compétences déléguées aux institutions mentionnées au premier alinéa, sur les domaines dans lesquels il est nécessaire d’assurer le bon fonctionnement de leurs interactions ou l’harmonisation de leurs pratiques, dans l’intérêt de la santé publique et de la sécurité sanitaire.

Elle est exercée dans le cadre d’une instance placée auprès du ministre chargé de la santé.

Un décret en Conseil d’Etat précise et complète la composition de cette instance et définit ses modalités de fonctionnement.
